EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

    • Committee Tasks: Board officers committee with responsibilities for Board organization and oversight. Includes President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. The Past-President serves as a guest. Work with committee chairs to track progress on the strategic plan.

BOARD SELECTION COMMITTEE

    • Committee Tasks: Share the call for nomination information with your networks and colleagues and encourage qualified colleagues to submit a nomination. Put out a call for nominations. Organize nominations and send them to the Board Selection Committee.

AWARDS & SCHOLARSHIPS COMMITTEE

    • Committee Tasks: Following the established process, review the applications/nominations for the Best Presentation, Best New Presentation, and the Sam Agronow Scholarship. Make recommendations to the board for each item and changes to the process. Develop ideas for increasing visibility of the Sam Agronow Scholarship and encourage colleagues to apply.

CONFERENCE PROPOSALS & REVIEW COMMITTEE

    • Committee Task: Share the call for proposals with your networks and colleagues, encourage colleagues to submit conference proposals, evaluate conference proposals based upon a provided rubric. Provide feedback on the scheduling of accepted proposals. Organize segment meetings.

CONFERENCE APP AND REGISTRATION MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE

    • Committee Tasks: Review and provide detailed feedback of beta versions of the content in the conference app. Be available during the conference to assist conference attendees with how to use the app. Make recommendations to the board for future app improvements.

EQUITY, DIVERSITY, AND INCLUSION COMMITTEE

    • Committee Tasks: To advise the CAIR Board of Directors on the enactment of CAIR’s EDI commitments (cair.org/edi), and lead efforts related to the EDI goals, strategies, and actions as outlined in the CAIR Strategic Plan. Organize affinity groups at conferences. Strengthen collective access of CAIR conferences in order to create space for all attendees.

CONFERENCE ASSESSMENT (SESSIONS AND CONFERENCE) COMMITTEE

    • Committee Tasks: Review results from the CAIR Overall Conference Evaluation Survey  and make recommendations to the CAIR Board for conference improvements. Provide suggestions for revisions to the Overall Conference and Session Surveys.. Distribute session evaluations in the conference app. Approximate timeframe: March through June.
