Know before you go!

Know before you go!

Know before you go!

We are looking forward to seeing you in sunny La Jolla in just a few days.

The CAIR Board has put together some handy travel tips to help you on your way:

  • Download the Conference App
Conference games, announcements, wifi information, and, most importantly, the conference agenda will be available via the Whova app. Printed programs will not be provided at check-in. If you haven’t already downloaded the conference app, you can do so here.
  • Transportation
The closest airport is San Diego International Airport (SAN) (13 miles away). The conference venue is also a 2-3 hour drive from downtown Los Angeles (131 miles). From the airport, attendees can arrange, in advance, a paid shuttle service or app-based transportation
  • Plan out your experience
Using the app or the online agenda at cair.org/agenda, you can start to plan out your conference experience today! Add sessions to your personalized conference agenda or calendar app so you don’t miss out on the important programming we have prepared for you. If you are a conference speaker, please use our images to post about it on social media! Additional information for speakers is available here.
  • Conference Venue Information
The conference will be taking place at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla at Aventine, which is located at 3777 La Jolla Village Dr, San Diego, CA 92122. You can read more about the hotel and local attractions here.
  • Overflow Hotels
Once the Hyatt Regency La Jolla at Aventine rooming block is expended, attendees are encouraged to consider one of the nearby hotels as an overflow option. No special conference rate is available for these hotels. See here (bottom of the page) for more information.
  • Parking
Onsite overnight parking is available at a discounted rate of $14.00 per night/per vehicle. Daily self-parking is available at a discounted rate of $10.00 per day/per vehicle.
  • Conference Health and Safety
Please see here for conference health and safety tips.
  • Bring a Jacket!
Weather is forecasted to be cooperative (no rain!) during the conference, but with a high of 70, it may be cold for some. In addition, our plenary sessions will be externally ventilated (see Conference Health and Safety above), so you may want to bring a jacket or warm sweater, just in case!
  • Local Places to Eat
The CAIR Board is putting together a list of local restaurants for you to consider during Thursday’s “Dinner on your own.” The final list will be published in the Whova app.

Still need to register for the conference? There’s still time to do that here:
